Sets will be coordinated by Child Life Specialist and gifted to our pediatric patients.

Our history

The Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center has more than 14 specialty surgical services. The saying “It takes a village to raise a child” applies to our service. “It takes a community of departments/units to make successful surgical care."

All departments/units involved with surgery service:

Peri-Op Services, Engineering Department & Specialty Clinics,

Pre-Operation Medical Service (POMS), Patient Education Service (PES),

Pre-Op staff, Surgical Team, Anesthesiologist Department, Procedure Suite, Blood Bank, Pharmacy, Laboratory, EKG, Nuclear Imaging Department, Admitting Office, Recovery, Medical-Surgical & Pediatric Inpatient Service and Child Life Specialists.
