The Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center has more than 14 specialty surgical services. The saying “It takes a village to raise a child” applies to our service. “It takes a community of departments/units to make successful surgical care.

Peri-Op Services, Engineering Department & Specialty Clinics,
Pre-Operation Medical Service (POMS), Patient Education Service (PES),
Pre-Op staff, Surgical Team, Anesthesiologist Department, Procedure Suite, Blood Bank, Pharmacy, Laboratory, EKG, Nuclear Imaging Department, Admitting Office, Recovery, Medical-Surgical & Pediatric Inpatient service and Child Life Specialists.
